WE, ANTHONY AND/OR TERRI DEJARNETT, GUARANTEE OUR PUPPIES AND OLDER DOGS TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH AND FREE FROM OBVIOUS DEFECTS TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE. THIS PUPPY IS BEING SOLD AS PET QUALITY.  IF EVER YOU ARE UNABLE TO KEEP THIS DOG, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL ASSIST YOU IN FINDING AN APPROPRIATE HOME FOR IT.   OUR PUPPIES ALWAYS HAVE A HOME.

THIS GUARANTEE COVERS:
Problems that your vet discovers at the initial visit which affects the dog・s health and are incurable.  It covers defects that your vet may find at the initial visit, ie., hernias, heart murmurs, etc.  Some defects do not show up until the puppy is older.  This guarantee covers genetic defects until the puppy is one year of age.  The puppy must be returned for replacement to be made.

THIS GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER:

Diarrhea, coccidiosis, wormy stools.  Every effort is made to sell dogs free of these problems, but the guarantee does not cover them should they be present.  Diarrhea is common with small puppies that have gone through a stressful period (getting a new home or changing their diet). 
Dog Diseases
This puppy  has been given all the immunizations and wormings appropriate for it・s age, and it has been carefully protected from exposure to dog diseases.  Please be careful to protect your puppy until it receives a series of  3 shots (with the 3rd one occurring after 12 weeks of age).  Our guarantee does not cover a puppy illness or death due to puppy disease after the sale.
Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar)
This is a common problem among toy breeds, especially the tiny ones.  It is extremely important that you watch for signs of this problem.  This can be a needless killer of young puppies.  Symptoms are listlessness, staggering when trying to walk, acting lethargic, etc.  Always make sure your puppy has food and water and check to see if it has eaten.  Giving Nurtical , honey or even syrup (1 to 2 cc・s) will alleviate this problem.  I make it a habit to give it to my puppies anytime I will be gone for any extended period of time.  This will usually cease to be a problem by 16 weeks of age.


TO MAKE USE OF THIS GUARANTEE
To validate this guarantee, a licensed veterinarian must examine the puppy within 72 hours of the date the contract is signed excluding Sundays and holidays that the vet office is closed. 

ALL VET BILLS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER.
IF THE BUYER CHOOSES NOT TO HAVE THE DOG EXAMINED BY A LICENSENED VET THE GUARANTEE IS VOID
Should there be a defect covered by this guarantee, the puppy will be exchanged with one of equal value when one is available or your money will be refunded if no puppy comes available within 3 months of this contract date.  Terms for puppy replacement or refund are as follows:
1) Contact me the day of your vet visit and inform me of the defect.  Leave a message if no answer. 
2) Provide written proof from your vet to mine as to the nature of the problem.  Address and phone below.
3) Return the animal alive and in the same condition as when you bought it within 24 hours of notification of defect.
4) Bring back all registration papers when you bring back the dog   This guarantee is void if all the papers are not returned.

I work very closely with my veterinarian.  He will examine the puppy and if he does not agree with your vet・s diagnosis, will confer with him/her as necessary.

By signing this contract I, the buyer, am signifying that this puppy looks in general good health and I have examined the puppy to my satisfaction.  I see no visible signs of illness in this dog.  My signature also signifies that I have read and understood the terms of this contract and agree to abide by them.
